Starr Manufacturing, an Ohio-based equipment company, is suing Julie Watson from Columbus after she posted a one-star Google review alleging the company had several quality and manufacturing issues with several customers.
Starr says the review hurt its reputation and cost it money.
Lawsuit seeks over $25,000 plus fees
Filed on August 12, 2026, the lawsuit asks for more than $25,000 plus legal fees.
Starr argues Watson's claims are false and motivated by a "personal vendetta" tied to her connection with an employee.
Its lawyer also says Watson has never been a customer of the firm.
The case is ongoing in Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas.
