Tata Group launches plan to assist 10,000+ West Asia employees
Tata Group is rolling out a plan to support its more than 10,000 employees in West Asia as the region faces ongoing conflict.
Led by Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, the company is working with more than 30 CEOs to bring home staff stranded in the United Arab Emirates and help others secure Saudi visas through the Indian embassy for staff in Qatar and enable cross-border movement from Doha to Riyadh by land routes, making employee safety and well-being their top priority.
West Asia conflict pressures Tata operations
The conflict has made things tricky for Tata's aviation arm, with higher fuel costs and longer flight routes.
Other Tata companies are dealing with supply chain delays, pricier materials, and tighter profit margins.
Chandrasekaran is urging teams to save cash, adjust project timelines, and keep costs down.
The group is also focusing on cybersecurity and helping employees manage stress, staying flexible so they're ready for new opportunities once things settle down.
