UIDAI extends free Aadhaar update deadline to 2026
Good news if you've been putting off updating your Aadhaar—UIDAI has pushed the free online update deadline to June 14, 2026.
You can now upload new ID or address documents on the myAadhaar portal at no cost, which is super handy if you've moved, changed your name, or had other life changes.
How to update your address or ID documents
Just log in to the myAadhaar portal with your Aadhaar number and OTP.
Upload a scanned copy of your Proof of Identity or Address (JPEG, PNG, or PDF under 2MB).
Once done, you'll get an Update Request Number to track progress.
Heads up: this freebie only covers certain demographic updates done online.
