Waaree Energies to invest ₹8,175 crore in clean energy projects

Business

Waaree Energies just announced a huge ₹8,175 crore push into clean energy projects.
Most of the money—₹8,000 crore—is going to ramp up their lithium-ion battery storage capacity from 3.5 GWh to a massive 20 GWh.
It's all part of their plan to power up India's green tech scene.

Other capacity boosts on the cards too

They're also boosting electrolyser capacity (for making green hydrogen) from 300 MW to 1,000 MW and increasing inverter output too.
Over in Texas, Waaree is expanding its solar module facility from 1.6 GW to 3.2 GW—even while cooperating with a US investigation into duty evasion.
Despite the probe, Waaree's shares inched up on the stock market.
