Director Vaidya revealed that Kaal Trighori was inspired by a true incident and folklore. He said, "A rare and ominous alignment actually occurred on Earth in April 2022. During that period, several strange and unexplained incidents were reported across different parts of the world." "I took inspiration from that real phenomenon and built a fictional story around a single family to show how such a cosmic event could personally and psychologically affect human lives," he added.
