Amitabh Bachchan's 'Badla' leaked online in HD quality

Is there a way to curb piracy? This question has been bothering the filmmakers for a while now. And while the filmmakers are still looking for a solution, piracy giant TamilRockers has targeted Amitabh Bachchan's Badla, this time. According to the media reports, this Sujoy Ghosh directorial was leaked online in HD quality just a day after its theatrical release.

'Badla' isn't the only one, 'Captain Marvel' was leaked too

Reportedly, Badla was available on the piracy website for free download within hours of its release. While the online leak has left the Badla makers shocked, it isn't the first movie which was targeted by TamilRockers, recently. Recently, Hollywood movie Captain Marvel, which released on March 8, was leaked by the infamous website on the day of its release.

TamilRockers targeted every new release of 2019

Sadly, TamilRockers had targeted almost every release of 2019, irrespective of their language, including Uri: The Surgical Strike, Aquaman, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, Petta, Viswasam, Gully Boy, Oru Adaar Love, etc. We wonder if there will be an end to it anytime soon.

The piracy giant has been banned innumerable times

Notably, the Indian judiciary system has been taking strict actions to prevent piracy. In fact, Madras High Court had put a ban on 12,000 sites in 2018 to stop piracy. However, among the banned sites, TamilRockers alone had access to 2,000 of them. Although the piracy giant has been banned innumerable times, with every movie leak, they reportedly come with a different proxy server.

'Badla' opened to decent collections at the box office

Meanwhile, Sujoy Ghosh's crime thriller has won rave reviews from the audience and critics alike. In fact, despite releasing on only 1,000 screens, it opened to a decent collection at the box office and minted Rs. 5.94 crore. Although the trade analysts suggested substantial growth in its collections in the opening weekend, the online leak is likely to affect the overall collection of Badla.
