'Tu Meri Main Tera': CBFC cuts sexually suggestive scene

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has mandated cuts to a sexually suggestive scene in the upcoming Bollywood film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The film, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, was granted a U/A 16+ certificate after the Examining Committee suggested three cuts, reported Bollywood Hungama. One of these involved reducing a sexually suggestive scene in the first half by 15 seconds.

CBFC also ordered dialogue and subtitle modifications
In addition to the cuts, the CBFC also instructed the creators to mute and remove obscene words from both the dialogues and subtitles. Moreover, they were also told to mute and remove the abbreviations of obscene expressions in a scene from the second half of the film. These changes were made before Tu Meri Main Tera received its censor certificate on Monday, December 15.

The censor certificate lists the final runtime of Tu Meri Main Tera as 145.41 minutes (2 hours, 25 minutes, and 41 seconds). The movie is backed by Karan Johar, Bhumika Tewari, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, under Dharma Productions and Shareen Mantri Kedia-Kishor Arora under Namah Pictures. Directed by Sameer Vidwans of Satyaprem Ki Katha fame, it will hit theaters on Christmas 2025.
