Daboo Malik credits Salman Khan's family for saving his life

Music composer Daboo Malik recently defended actor Salman Khan amid allegations of favoritism toward his son Amaal Mallik on the reality show Bigg Boss. Speaking to News18 Showsha, he said, "He's getting so much attention...that it seems that everything is planned to promote him." However, he dismissed these rumors as unrealistic. "Do you think such a multi-crore setup will pick up just one person and be biased toward him?"

Malik also spoke about his past work with the Khan family. He revealed that their last collaboration was on the 2015-2016 projects Hero and Jai Ho. "If there was a support which was completely biased and personal, then they would have been working in every Salman Khan film, so that's not a possibility," he said. "We are simple musicians. We are very small in front of Salman Khan and his family."

Malik also opened up about the financial and professional support he received from the Khan family during difficult times. He recalled how Sohail Khan gave him a chance to compose music for his 2009 film Kisaan. "If I am alive, it is because that family has a lot of contribution to my life," he said. "They supported us when we had lost all hopes and that is the trait of that family."

Malik also shared his thoughts on the professional journey of his sons, Amaal and Armaan. He revealed that he had encouraged them to work independently while maintaining mutual respect for each other. "I have drawn the line between the two brothers... It is all my contribution," he said. "I told them I never wanted them to work together... I told them to work individually, 'you both will be against each other, but you both will also be together.'"

On resolving fallout with son Amaal
Malik also addressed the public fallout between Amaal and their family, which was later resolved. He explained that such disagreements often happen when parents seem to favor one child over another. "When parents try to protect the younger one more...then the elder son feels that he has done so much, but he is not getting that much love and dignity from the family," he said. "I was shocked when I saw that statement, but until my last breath, I will love my son forever."
