The much-awaited 2025 film Idli Kadai, starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen, is said to be facing a possible delay in its release. Set to release on April 10, social media has been rife with rumors of a possible postponement. According to Lets Cinema, the filmmakers are contemplating pushing the release date to August 2025. However, neither Dhanush nor the production team has confirmed it.

'Idli Kadai' team maintains the original release date
Despite the rumors doing the rounds, Idli Kadai's executive producer officially confirmed during the NEEK audio launch that they are still eyeing an April 10 release. NEEK or Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam is another Dhanush directorial. He also mentioned that Dhanush was busy filming, which is why he couldn't attend the event. This statement indicates that the production is on schedule and any delay could be due to other reasons.

Arun Vijay expressed enthusiasm for 'Idli Kadai'
Arun Vijay, who is also a part of the Idli Kadai cast, said he was excited to work under Dhanush's direction again after Raayan. He said he shot with Dhanush last night and a song shoot was on. "After Raayan, I wished to act under Dhanush's brother's direction, and I am happy that it happened in Idli Kadai," he said at NEEK's audio launch.

Apart from Idli Kadai, Dhanush has some other exciting projects in his kitty. These include Kubera, which has Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna in key roles, and an untitled project with director Rajkumar Periasamy. Just recently, the makers of Idli Kadai released the first look of Vijay opposite Dhanush in the film.
