Is Harrison Ford ready to retire? Actor hints at it
Harrison Ford, now 83, just hinted he could step away from acting soon.
At a press event for his Apple TV+ show Shrinking, he reflected, Where do you go from here? The kind of work that we're able to do is remarkable... And if it was all over here, that would be sufficient.
More on 'Shrinking'
Shrinking follows a grieving therapist (Jason Segel) and his colleagues.
Ford plays Dr. Paul, a therapist with Parkinson's disease.
Ford's 1st Emmy nomination came for 'Shrinking'
Ford scored his first Emmy nom for Shrinking last year.
The cast is stacked (think Christa Miller and Jessica Williams), and season 3 will feature guest spots from Michael J Fox.
In 2025, Ford said he wouldn't retire
Just last year, Ford brushed off retirement talk in Variety: "No. That's one of the things I thought was attractive about the job of an actor, was that they need old people, too, to play old people's parts,".
So while he's hinting at slowing down now, it sounds like he still sees value in sticking around Hollywood.
