Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson's nephew, is officially set to play the King of Pop in a new biopic.
He shared on Jimmy Fallon's show that landing the role felt surreal and spiritual, and talked about going through a tough, yearslong multi-year process and earning the role.
Filming ran January to May 2024
The project kicked off back in 2019 when producer Graham King got the rights.
After some delays, including the SAG-AFTRA strike, filming finally started in January 2024 and wrapped up by May.
With Antoine Fuqua directing and Lionsgate behind it, fans can look forward to seeing Michael's story brought to life soon.
