Kannada cinema superstar Upendra and Bollywood actor Shanaya Kapoor have joined the cast of Zombie Reddy Nxt Lvl, the sequel to the hit Zombie Reddy. The announcement was made on lead actor Teja Sajja's birthday and confirmed both the cast and creative team for this adventure zombie action-comedy. The film will mark Kapoor's South cinema debut.

The sequel to the 2021 hit Zombie Reddy will be directed by Suparn S. Varma, known for The Family Man Season 2 and Rana Naidu.
The story is by Prasanth Varma, who directed the original film.
The music for the sequel will be composed by Gowra Hari, who also composed for HanuMan and Mirai.
Hussain Dalal, Prasanth, and Varma have penned the screenplay.

'Zombie Reddy Nxt Lvl' to be released in 7 languages
Zombie Reddy Nxt Lvl will be released in seven languages: Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Nepali, and Japanese.
T.G. Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad are producing the film under People Media Factory.
The original Zombie Reddy followed a game developer who must save his village after a scientist's vaccine experiment unleashes a zombie outbreak.

Sajja's hopes for upcoming film
Sajja said, "The biggest takeaway from my career is that cinema survives on audacity, not formulas."
"When Zombie Reddy was made, it was a calculated risk born out of a desire to break the monotony of conventional storytelling."
Varma added that they wanted to take the idea of zombies to the next level with this film.
The film is scheduled for a 2027 release.
