Rajesh Kumar, best known as Rosesh from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, left acting in 2017 to try his hand at farming in Gaya, Bihar, inspired by Sadhguru's Rally for Rivers.
He wanted to understand what farmers really go through, but after a flood destroyed what he had planted, a later COVID-19 disruption, and a borewell dug to 500 feet still found no water, he ended up with a massive ₹2 crore debt.
Kumar returns to acting, debt ₹20L
Instead of giving up, Kumar leaned on spirituality to stay positive, even selling vegetables outside his son's school when things got tough.
In April, he'd cut his debt down to ₹20 lakh and said the experience taught him a lot about resilience.
Now he's back in acting with projects like Ohh My Dog and Nishaanchi, stronger and more grounded than before.
