Michaels cancels remaining 2026 shows after kidney stone surgeries

Bret Michaels, lead singer of Poison, has called off his remaining 2026 shows after doctors told him he needs more time to recover from recent kidney stone surgeries.
He pushed through a show in Georgia on August 21, but after a checkup, he was advised to rest and put his health first.
Type 1 diabetes complicates Michaels's recovery
Michaels's lifelong Type 1 diabetes is making his recovery tougher, especially with the summer heat messing with his blood sugar.
He recently had surgery for a kidney stone and needed a stent after falling ill during a Washington show in July.
Michaels said he was "truly grateful for family, friends, fans, band, crew, and promoters for their understanding," and his team said they want him back "healthy, strong and ready to rock."
