If a film required it, she'd rather walk away.
'It's just not something I believe in'
Rashmika's firm boundary comes from her personal values.
She's upfront about turning down any role that asks her to smoke, saying it's just not something she believes in—even if it means missing out on a project.
On criticism of 'Animal'
She also addressed criticism of her recent film Animal, which some say promotes toxic masculinity.
Rashmika explained that films reflect complex realities and don't always endorse what they show.
Cinema reflects gray areas and audiences choose what to watch, she said, adding that acting is about pretending—not promoting certain behaviors.
