Mukhopadhyay's health deteriorated despite surgery

A senior official from the West Bengal Health Department said Mukhopadhyay's health didn't improve after surgery. "His condition was not improving following a surgery and this morning he breathed his last," the official told PTI. The singer was shifted to the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU) after his health condition deteriorated just days before his demise.
