What's the story
The recently released romantic-comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, features a recreated version of the iconic song Saat Samundar Paar. The original track was sung by Sadhana Sargam for Rajiv Rai's 1992 film Vishwatma. Interestingly, the song also featured Panday's father, actor Chunky Panday.

The original version of Saat Samundar Paar was picturized on Sunny Deol, Divya Bharti, and Chunky. The song was a massive hit and continues to be remembered over three decades later. In the recreated version for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Karan Nawani has composed the music while Viju Shah originally composed it. Nawani also lent his voice to the track and wrote the new lyrics.

The film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, which released on Thursday, has received mixed reviews. At the box office, too, the film isn't doing as well as expected due to the Dhurandhar craze. Trade experts opined the rom-com will earn around ₹5-6cr on Day 1. Meanwhile, coming back to the track, remixing Saat Samundar Paar has led to a lawsuit being filed against Dharma Productions and Saregama.
