Entertainment

Zubeen Garg's last movie, Sikaar, will be screened at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa this November.
The action-packed thriller stars Adil Hussain and Urmila Mahanta and follows a tea garden worker who uses his hunting skills to save his fiancee in London.
Sikaar has already earned an impressive 8.2/10 on IMDb—even as investigations continue into Garg's sudden death earlier this year.

Beyond his art: The kindness of Zubeen Garg

More than just a singer and composer, Garg was a cultural force in Assam—known for both his music and giving spirit.
During the COVID-19 crisis, he and his wife offered their Guwahati building to the state government to be converted into a free COVID-care facility.
Even after his passing, fans continue to celebrate not just his art but also the kindness he brought to so many lives.

Other films also featured at IFFI

It's not just Sikaar making waves—another Assamese film, Bhaimon Da, is also featured at IFFI this year.
The spotlight on these films highlights how Northeast Indian stories are gaining well-deserved recognition on the national stage.
