Only one international flight to Sharjah took off, and the rest of the terminal was filled with confused passengers and some pretty tense conversations with airline staff.

Many travelers only found out about the cancelations after reaching the airport, leading to a lot of frustration.
While some got hotel stays from the airline, plans for further travel were unclear.
To make things tougher, ticket prices on other airlines nearly doubled because of all the last-minute demand.
According to Sameep Singh from FlyAmritsar Initiative, more price hikes could be coming if these disruptions continue.
