Aditya Dhar is a leading Indian film writer, director, and lyricist born on March 12, 1983, in New Delhi. He made his directorial debut with the 2019 hit action film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', which was inspired by the events of the 2016 Uri attack. In 2019, his debut directorial also helped him earn prestigious the Best Director Award at the 66th National Film Awards. For 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', he also bagged the Best Debut Director Award at the 65th Filmfare Awards and the Best Debut Director Award at the Jagran Film Festival in as well as the Zee Cine Award for Most Promising Director in 2020. Dhar has also worked on films such as 'Kabul Express', 'Haal-e-Dil', 'One Two Three', Aakrosh', and 'Tezz' in various capacities like a dialogue writer, lyricist, and screenplay writer. Dhar made headlines when he married popular Indian actress Yami Gautam on June 4, 2021.
