Mohammed Aamir Hussain Khan or Aamir Khan is an Indian actor, director, producer, and television talk show host born on March 14, 1965. One of the most noteworthy actors in Bollywood, Khan's decades-long film career started when he appeared as a child artist in his uncle Nasir Hussain's 1973 film, ‘Yaadon Ki Baaraat’. In 1999, he founded Aamir Khan Productions and its very first film ‘Lagaan’ (2001) bagged an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Later, the 2007 film ‘Taare Zameen Par’ marked the actor's directorial debut. Then, in 2012, Khan ventured into the world of talk shows by hosting ‘Satyamev Jayate’ that dealt with sensitive social issues. Often referred to as "Mr. Perfectionist" for his commitment to his work, some of his widely acclaimed films include ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’, ‘Ghajini’, and ‘Earth’, among many others. Notably, Khan is also a social activist and humanitarian who has championed several social causes. His social reform initiatives also earned him a place in the 2013 ‘Time 100’ list of most influential people in the world.
