250 booked after Red Fort terror blast, police ramp up checks
A blast triggered by a suicide bomber near Delhi's Red Fort on November 10 left 15 people dead and injured several others—officials have confirmed it was a terrorist attack.
In response, Delhi Police launched a massive verification drive and have filed cases against 250 people who didn't follow required police verification rules for tenants, paying guests, and guest house operators.
Police sweep covers thousands of homes
So far, over 2,500 houses in North Delhi have been checked, with special camps set up at local stations to speed things up. Guest houses and rentals got extra attention, while drones and anti-sabotage teams boosted security around Red Fort.
Those booked face charges under Section 223(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The investigation is still ongoing as authorities track the terror module believed to be behind the attack.
