370 Myanmar returnees land in Delhi, get support from Andhra Pradesh
India
A total of 370 people repatriated from Myanmar—including 55 from Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam—arrived in Delhi on Friday.
Many had lost access to their phones and money, but were welcomed by AP Bhavan staff and government officials, who provided them with meals and a safe place to stay.
Help for the journey home
To help them get back to their hometowns, the Andhra Pradesh government gave each person ₹1,000 and arranged train tickets through Northern Railway's Emergency Quota.
The repatriates shared their gratitude for the support during a tough time, as this effort was aimed at bringing back those caught up in the Myanmar cybercrime network.
