6,700+ Indians rescued from Southeast Asian job scams

Over 6,700 Indians trapped in scam operations across Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos have been rescued.
Most were tricked by fake job offers on social media and then forced into cybercrime work—a situation that has affected many Indians.

Indian embassies played a big role in these rescues—over 2,000 people each from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
