Ahmedabad crash prompts Air India plane inspections
After a tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad that claimed at least 270 lives, India's aviation regulator (DGCA) has started inspecting all of Air India's Boeing 787 jets. So far, eight out of 33 planes have been checked and nothing unusual has turned up.

One passenger survived; investigation underway
The crash happened just after take-off with 242 people on board. Against all odds, one passenger—Vishwaskumar Ramesh—survived and is being treated in hospital. The investigation is being led by Indian authorities with help from US and UK experts. Meanwhile, Tata Group (which owns Air India) has promised ₹1 crore to each victim's family and is covering medical costs for survivors as teams continue clearing the site.
