AI surveillance to enhance Karnataka highway safety

Karnataka's Transport Department is spending ₹70 crore to set up AI-powered cameras on busy highways, starting with accident hotspots near Bengaluru.
These smart cameras will spot traffic violations in real time and send out e-challans automatically—no human needed.
