Back-to-back storms have made recovery even tougher since the state was already dealing with the aftermath of Cyclone Arnab from last October.
Agricultural losses estimated at ₹875 cr
Cyclone Murasu damaged crops across more than 1.43 lakh hectares and affected over 1.86 lakh farmers: agricultural losses are estimated at ₹875 crore.
Horticulture took a blow too, with damage across 6,504 hectares worth ₹337 crore.
Animal husbandry, aquaculture, and housing weren't spared either.
