Armed gang fakes crash, robs Bengaluru businessman Shiva Shankar 1.09cr

A Bengaluru businessman, Shiva Shankar, had a terrifying night after an armed gang faked a bike crash to stop his car near Kuduregere Colony.
The group took ₹74 lakh from his car, then forced driver Chethan to return to Shiva Shankar's house, where his wife was coerced into handing over ₹35 lakh, making off with a total of ₹1.09 crore before leaving Shiva Shankar and his driver Chethan abandoned at an isolated spot.

Police think this was all carefully planned and are checking CCTV footage while questioning Shankar's associates, especially since he's faced past fraud allegations.
Deputy Commissioner D L Nagesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), says the investigation is ongoing but no arrests yet.
