Asgarali Vohra meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Bhayander dispute
Asgarali Vohra, 81, of Mumbai, has reached out to Prime Minister Modi over a land dispute that's dragged on for years.
Vohra says his Bhayander East property was allegedly encroached upon by Swayam Builders and Seven Eleven Constructions, which is associated with a BJP MLA, and despite filing an FIR back in 2015, the issue still isn't resolved.
Now, after meeting Modi (his old schoolmate), the case is set for a municipal hearing on September 16.
Asgarali Vohra asks for CBI probe
Vohra claims Swayam Builders and Seven Eleven Constructions not only took his land in 2011 but also forged documents to transfer it without his consent.
He's now asking for a CBI probe.
State Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik even shared photos from the meeting and said he hopes Modi's involvement will finally bring justice for Vohra.
