Ayodhya Deepotsav on November 7 to feature 3 million diyas
India
Ayodhya is gearing up for its biggest Deepotsav yet on November 7.
The city will glow with 3 million diyas across Ram Ki Paidi and 55 ghats, while a 2,100-drone light show adds extra sparkle.
Vice-President CP Radhakrishnan, the chief guest, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will kick off the festivities.
Deepotsav recreates Lord Ram's return
This year's Deepotsav recreates Lord Ram's return with huge floats like a 30-foot Pushpak Viman and performances by artists from India and abroad, including teams from South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Laos.
Started in 2017 under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the festival has smashed world records for lamp-lighting every year: last year saw 26,17,215 diyas; this time they're aiming for an even more dazzling display with 3 million!
