A tech professional was found dead in his Bengaluru rental after neighbors spent two weeks puzzled by a strong, lingering odor.
At first, everyone thought it was just a dead animal nearby, but the truth came out when the house owner checked and called the police.

Police investigating cause of death

Police say the man, an MSc computer science graduate who had been living in the house for 15 years, may have been dead for about 10 days before being found.
An autopsy is underway at Victoria Hospital to figure out what happened, and his family has been informed.
Officers are still piecing together how and why he died.
