Bhopal court extends custody of Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh
A Bhopal court has extended the judicial custody of Samarth Singh and his mother-in-law, former judge Giribala Singh, for another 14 days.
Both are accused of dowry harassment after model Twisha Sharma was found dead at her in-laws' house last month.
The CBI requested more time to investigate, and the court agreed, so Samarth and his mother-in-law will stay in Bhopal Central Jail until at least June 30.
Twisha Sharma's family alleges mental torture
Twisha's family says she faced mental torture and violence from her husband and in-laws since their wedding in December 2025.
Just before her death, she reportedly called her mother, sounding distressed, while her husband was shouting in the background.
The autopsy confirmed hanging along with multiple injuries, and questions about how the initial investigation was handled led to the CBI stepping in.
