Bihar approves Sindhu Darshan travel subsidy of up to ₹20,000
Heading to Leh-Ladakh for the Sindhu Darshan Yatra just got a little easier if you're a permanent resident of Bihar.
The state government has rolled out a new scheme that covers one-half your travel costs, or up to ₹20,000, making it more affordable, especially for those who need a financial boost.
The move, approved this week under Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, is all about helping more people experience this cultural trip.
Similar schemes are already running in states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
How Bihar residents can claim reimbursement
If you're an adult and are a permanent resident of Bihar, you're eligible.
All you have to do is finish the yatra and keep your travel bills handy.
Once back, submit your proof of residency, ID, and expense receipts to the Tourism department for reimbursement.
Until then, just remember to save every bill from your trip!
