Vikram Bhatt is an actor, film director, and producer in the Hindi film industry. Being the grandson of one of the pioneers of the Indian film industry, Vijay Bhatt, and the son of cinematographer Pravin Bhatt, he was bound to join the entertainment industry at some point. In 1982, when he was 14, Bhatt worked on his first film, a Mukul Anand directorial, 'Kanoon Kya Karega'. Later, he worked as the chief assistant on the sets of 'Agneepath'. For the next five years, he first worked with Shekhar Kapur and then with Mahesh Bhatt. In 1993, he made his directorial debut with the film 'Jaanam'. However, his first film to do well at the box office was 'Fareb', following which he gave back-to-back hits to Bollywood. After 2002, Vikram's movies stopped doing well on the big screen, due to which he took a hiatus and returned in 2008 with '1920' and later directed 'Shaapit' (2009) and 'Haunted – 3D' (2010), which were successful at the box office. In 2021, Vikram directed the MX player web series 'Bisaat'.
