Bihar elections: Liquor, cash, drugs worth ₹64cr seized since Oct6

India

With Bihar's assembly elections just weeks away, authorities have cracked down hard—seizing liquor, cash, drugs, and freebies worth over ₹64 crore.
That's a huge haul, especially since liquor alone made up ₹23 crore, even though alcohol is banned in the state.
Since the election announcement on October 6, there have been 753 arrests and over 13,500 non-bailable warrants issued, showing just how seriously officials are taking things this time.

Election Commission takes strict measures to ensure fair elections

The Election Commission is stepping up its game, with flying squads and surveillance teams working around the clock to keep elections clean and prevent any shady vote-buying.
Voting happens on November 6 and 11, and counting is set for November 14.
To keep things fair, the ECI has sent in extra observers to watch over the whole process, making it clear that they're committed to a transparent and honest election.
