Bihar SVU searches IAS officers' homes in alleged tender scam
Bihar's Special Vigilance Unit just searched the homes of two suspended IAS officers, Yogesh Sagar and Abhilasha Kumari Sharma, over an alleged tender scam.
Both are accused of taking bribes from a contractor in exchange for awarding government contracts, a pretty serious breach of trust.
Patna raids allege perks to officials
The raids happened Friday (June 19, 2026) in Patna, but neither officer was home at the time.
Investigators say Sagar got free foreign trips for Sagar and his eight relatives, while Sharma allegedly had a ₹9 lakh garden built for her.
The SVU team also visited the residence of Pawan Kumar, Director of Matriswa Infra Private Limited.
Both officers were suspended after evidence surfaced last month, and the investigation is still ongoing with help from Rishu Ranjan Sinha, alias Rishu Shree, who is now in custody.
