Bihar teen killed over cheering for opponent in T20 WC match
In Bihar's Vaishali district, a 17-year-old speech-impaired boy named Kundan Kumar was beaten to death by his neighbor, also 17, during the India-New Zealand T20 World Cup final.
The two were watching the match with friends in Jakkopur village when Kundan cheered as India lost a wicket.
His neighbor, Kisan Kumar, mistook the cheer for mockery and pushed Kundan, causing him to hit his head on a stone.
Sadly, Kundan died from his injuries while being taken to the hospital.
Kisan has been missing since the incident
Police say it started as a cricket dispute that turned violent.
Forensic teams have collected evidence from the scene.
Two special police teams are searching for Kisan, who has been missing since the incident.
Authorities are checking possible hideouts and relatives' homes but have not yet caught him.
