Right now, about 18,000 Indian sailors are stranded on ships in the Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Red Sea because a massive maritime bottleneck around the US-Iran peace deal has stranded sailors.
Some vessels are waiting near the Strait of Hormuz with crews unable to move, while others are anchored in safe zones until demining clears the way.

Even with all these disruptions, India managed to get a big energy shipment delivered to Gujarat on June 18, so some essentials are still getting through.
Since talks began, 15 India-bound ships have made it home despite long waits. But delays continue for hundreds of other vessels carrying Indian crews or vital supplies.
The crisis has also seen ships targeted by drones, keeping everyone on edge as diplomats try to sort things out.
