Savda Ghevra move raises job fears
People are being moved to Savda Ghevra, about 45km away, which has sparked real worries about losing jobs, since many work in blue-collar roles close to the city center.
"We have been here since the British era, and now the authorities are asking us to leave. Our families lived here for generations. People were born here, and died here," said Shaan Khan, one of the residents.
This eviction is separate from the MCD drive against illegal structures across Delhi.
