CFRMS helps 1L victims reclaim funds lost to online scams
India's fight against online scams just got a boost. Nearly one lakh citizens have benefitted from the new recovery and grievance programs.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday these initiatives are part of the CFRMS system, which helps victims reclaim stolen funds and resolve complaints quickly.
Recovery framework adds 94L bank accounts
About 94 lakh bank accounts from which funds can potentially be restored have now been added to the recovery framework, making it easier to track down lost money.
Shah has called for regular state-level reviews to speed up help for victims and wants stricter action against "mule" accounts used by scammers.
