Andhra Pradesh aids 3.82L, onions ₹35/kg
The government has already handed out essential goods to 3.82 lakh affected families.
To keep things fair, onions are capped at ₹35 per kilogram in local markets, rice prices are fixed too, and more than 1.03 lakh families are getting subsidized food through ration shops.
Officials are not letting price cheats off the hook either, taking action against hundreds of traders trying to cash in on the crisis.
