Chennai: UPSC aspirant raped by man posing as fellow student

A 22-year-old woman preparing for the UPSC exams in Chennai was allegedly raped by a 23-year-old man, Yogeshkumar (also known as Harishkumar), who pretended to be a fellow aspirant.
The two met through a mobile app while she was searching for accommodation after moving to the city.
Gaining her trust, he reportedly threatened to tell her parents if she didn't send him a photo, then forced her to go out with him, and later took her to a lodge where the assault happened.
What's happening now
After the incident, the survivor filed a complaint at Thirumangalam's All Women Police Station and Yogeshkumar was arrested.
Police say he's also linked to another case at Theni district's Cyber Crime station.
