CJI Surya Kant wants to clear Supreme Court backlog

Chief Justice of India, Surya Kant, says his main goal is to cut down the pile-up of pending cases in the judiciary.
Speaking at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, he shared plans to push for more mediation and prioritizing of litigation so people can get justice faster.

Mediation mission and new training for judges

CJI Kant is rolling out a "mediation mission," encouraging judges to use mediation as a quicker way to solve disputes.
He also wants judicial officers trained for modern challenges like cybercrime and digital arrests—so courts can keep up with today's tech-driven issues and make justice more predictable for everyone.
