Delhi airport warns of weather-related disruptions
Delhi and nearby areas are on IMD's red alert, with heavy rain, hail, and winds up to 70km/h expected.
The city's airport has told travelers to brace for possible flight delays or diversions from 3:15pm Monday—classic monsoon season chaos.
Passengers should double-check with airlines before heading out.
7.5-8% of daily flights will be canceled this monsoon
Flight disruptions are pretty common during Delhi's rainy months, but this year there's more: about 114 flights a day will be canceled from June 15 to September 15 due to runway upgrades—about 7.5% to 7.8% of daily traffic.
Plus, the stormy forecast isn't just for Delhi; states like Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and parts of MP could see similar weather and travel headaches.
If you're traveling soon, keep an eye on updates so your plans don't get washed away.
