India
Just ahead of Diwali, Delhi's Food Safety Department destroyed nearly 100kg of unsafe sweets and dairy products after inspections across the city.
Inspectors found foul-smelling khoya and milk with insects in Mandoli Extension, which were tossed out to keep people safe.
Rekha Gupta calls for food inspections
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has called for more regular inspections so shops stay honest and clean.
The government also plans to boost the Food Safety Department with better equipment and more staff.
Offending brands could be blacklisted or lose their licenses, so everyone can enjoy safer treats this festive season.
