Delhi fog: IndiGo warns of flight delays on December 15
Heads up if you're flying out of Delhi—IndiGo just warned that winter fog could slow things down at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The airline says they're keeping a close eye on the weather and making changes as needed to keep flights safe.
Why does this matter?
Foggy mornings mean low visibility, which can mess with flight schedules, especially for planes not equipped for tough conditions.
Luckily, all three main runways at Delhi Airport have a CAT III B Instrument Landing System, letting many flights land when visibility drops down to 50 meters.
Still, some delays are likely if your plane isn't set up for it.
How is the airport handling it?
Delhi Airport has invested big in high-tech landing systems and real-time monitoring to keep things moving during heavy fog.
Their team uses predictive tools and surface guidance systems to minimize disruptions—so while delays might happen, they're working hard to keep them short.
