Delhi guest house fire kills 8 members of Aggarwal family
India
A devastating fire at a Delhi guest house on June 5 took the lives of eight members of the Aggarwal family, who were staying there to be near their grandfather, Radhe Shyam, during his hospital treatment.
Among those lost were Vivek Aggarwal, a young chartered accountant, his wife, their two daughters, Prem Lata, his mother, Ashok Aggarwal, his maternal cousin, Jawri Lal Aggarwal, his maternal uncle, and Kamla Aggarwal, his maternal aunt.
Radhe Shyam dies unaware of fire
Radhe Shyam passed away in the ICU six days later, never knowing about the tragedy.
The Aggarwals had built their lives in Delhi since 1978, and relatives are heartbroken over how quickly decades of dreams and hard work were wiped out.
Some have pointed to negligence as a cause for the fire.
