Delhi region schools up to Class 5 shift to hybrid
India
With Delhi's air quality taking a hit, schools up to Class five in Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Sonipat are moving to hybrid classes.
That means students can either show up in person or log in from home, with the choice resting with students and their parents or guardians.
Graded Response Action Plan vehicle ban
Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan is now active since the Air Quality Index hit 382 ("very poor").
This means older petrol (BS-III or below) and diesel (BS-IV or below) vehicles are banned on roads in affected areas, except for disability-adapted vehicles.
Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has asked everyone to follow these rules and keep an eye out for updates, as more restrictions could be on the way if pollution gets worse.
