Delhi shifts office timings to tackle pollution
Delhi's air is getting worse, so Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is switching up winter office timings for government and municipal staff.
Starting November 15, 2025, until February 15, 2026, Delhi government offices will run from 10:00am to 6:30pm while Municipal Corporation offices will open earlier at 8:30am and close at 5:00pm.
The goal? Cut down rush hour traffic and help clear the air.
CM Rekha Gupta says move is on expert advice
By staggering start times, the city hopes to ease road congestion and reduce pollution during peak hours.
Gupta says this move comes after expert advice and shows Delhi's ongoing push to tackle environmental issues head-on—something previous governments have also done during high-pollution months.
It's all part of a bigger plan to make breathing in Delhi a little easier this winter.
