Delhi Traffic Police installs over 90 traffic signboards, 50 operational
Delhi Traffic Police just rolled out over 90 digital signboards to help drivers stay updated on traffic jams, road closures, repairs, and potholes: 50 are already up and running.
These boards aim to make city commuting smoother and safer by sharing real-time information right where you need it.
Signboards to get AI rerouting, alerts
Besides traffic alerts, the signboards remind everyone about road crashes, prosecutions, a valid pollution under control certificate, and even switching off engines at red lights.
Messages are crafted using feedback from field staff and social media.
Looking ahead, officials say artificial intelligence (AI) will soon help these boards automatically show rerouting tips and weather alerts based on live road conditions, making Delhi's roads smarter for everyone.
